Veteran-s-Appreciation-Luncheon-

The Sheriff’s Department along with the Chamber of Commerce Office hosted a luncheon for all veterans in Dimmit County on Friday, April 26, 2024 at the Civic Center in Carrizo Springs. For twenty years the Chamber of Commerce celebrated the Texas Vietnam Veterans Highway Memorial Motorcycle Ride but those veterans are no longer making that long trip due to being older. The invitation was for all veterans and their families. Pulled pork sandwiches and chips were served for lunch at 12:00 Noon and there was a ceremony to honor those guests in attendance. Our last remaining World War II Veteran, Juan Martinez Jr. was honored with a veterans coin for his selfless service to this country.
