About MESU - Mobile Eye Screening Unit
Every year the Carrizo Springs Lions Club brings the Mobile Eye Screening Unit into the HEB parking lot to offer free eye screenings to anyone who may need it. The bus has the latest testing machines. The results are given at the end of testing to be taken to your regular physician.
The Lions Sight Research Foundation (LSRF) was founded in 1982, and incorporated in 1983, as the District 2-A2 Lions Sight and Tissue Foundation. This bold step was taken because of an awareness and continuing concern for sight conservation, the detection and treatment of eye diseases, and the prevention of blindness. Since 1983, the LSRF has been the principle action agency for participation by the Lions of District 2-A2 in support of Lions Clubs International vision related programs. The Foundation operates as an independent, non-profit, charitable Texas corporation with an IRS 501(c) (3) classification.

On October 19, 2019, we serviced our community at no cost to them with $1,400.00 in tests.
28 people came to have a free eye exam!
